Shede Baijiu

Shede is rooted in Shehong, Sichuan, in the fertile Sichuan Basin, one of China’s most important baijiu-producing regions. The province is particularly renowned for strong-aroma baijiu, with historic centres including Luzhou, Yibin and Shehong. Warm temperatures, abundant rainfall, rich grain resources and the region’s distinctive microbial environment create favourable conditions for traditional solid-state fermentation. While Luzhou and Yibin are celebrated for their strong-aroma styles, Shehong has developed its own character through generations of craftsmanship and long-term ageing. This diverse regional heritage forms an important part of Sichuan’s baijiu culture.
